Update from Ethan (Feb 18, 2011)
Greetings Readers!
I have just returned from 3 night tour of some of New York City's finest laboratories of Bacchic endeavor, with many new tales to tell, and drinks to share with you.
Visits this trip included (chronologically): momofuku ssäm bar, Please Don't Tell (PDT), Vandaag, a special event at Fatty Johnson's (a "pop-up" bar), Bobo, Maison Premiere, Dram, Eleven Madison Park (EMP), and Milk & Honey.
More important than the destinations however, are the wonderful people I had the pleasure to meet and carefully watch during this trip. The talented and enthusiastic perpetrators of the newly rejuvenated "American School of Drinking", are the professionals truly responsible for the success of these currently popular destinations. The time I was able to spend with each of them, was of the greatest of pleasures dispensed to me this trip, and I thank each and every one of them for their time, talent and hospitality.
Many posts to come soon!
Enjoy,
Ethan
